AKAR gearless motors consist of an internal-rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor, a drive pulley, an electromagnetic brake and an encoder, and are designed for installations without a machine room, where compactness, quiet operation and comfort are key features. Given the wide range of drive pulleys and accessories available, they also offer a good solution for systems with machine rooms and refurbishment lifts.
In a 2:1 suspension system, the current product range—covering cabin speeds of up to 4 m/s and nominal loads of up to 6,500 kg—enables maximum utilisation of shaft space by allowing for installation at the shaft centre, as well as in shafts with low pit and top floor heights, for both standard drive-side pulley models and centre-pulley models.
AKAR’s gearless SMT series motors feature spline profiles that can be machined to meet customer requirements and needs. This wide range of drive pulley options ensures the correct motor can be selected for the customer and any application.
In addition, a wide range of accessories—including various types of absolute encoders, cable types/lengths (for motor power, accessory supply and connecting encoders to the inverter), drive pulleys/pulley guards and motor frames—can be used in accordance with current standards when used with SMT series motors.
